One position in Tulare County and one position in Kings County CLOSING DATE September 18 2014 SALARY RANGE 12.98 - 16.12 hourly with excellent benefits. Full time position (100%) LOCATION University of California Cooperative Extension 4437-B South Laspina Street Tulare CA 93274 PURPOSE The Community Educator Specialist 1 is a full time (100%) position under the supervision of the Nutrition Education Program Manager. The Nutrition Educator is responsible for conducting and training in the area of nutrition. The CES1 does outreach and recruitment of teachers professionals and para-professionals works with youth in the classroom and in after-school programs parents and adults in a variety of classroom and community settings. Will collaborate with colleagues from other programs. The NE exhibits knowledge and understanding of basic nutrition food buying storage and preparation food safety money management and basic parenting as it relates to nutrition.
