Maintain truck and equipment in a safe and operable condition at all times by performing daily and periodic mechanical and safety inspections. Operate in accordance with DOT regulations. Maintain regular communication with supervisor in order to report field problems and or safety hazards. Follow procedures for all delivery assignments. Wear appropriate safety gear at all times during delivery operations. Keep current on safety techniques and take advantage of all opportunities to improve driving and safety skills. Recognize and avoid safety hazards in the work environment.QualificationsREQUIRED SKILLS CDL A Current DOT card. Medical Long Form. Clean MVR. Able to effectively communicate information one-one-one and in small group situation with customers clients and co-workers. Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written and or oral instructions Read and comprehend simple instructions short correspondence and memos. Ability to fill out log books timecards and DVIRs (Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports). Able to add subtract multiply and divide using whole numbers. Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers supervisors and the general public at all times. Must be willing to travel and work away from home occasionally.. Need basic mechanic skills. Pass a background check and drug screen..there might be some night work & weekends
