Seeking a full-time in-house Publicist with a real estate background at the company headquarter brokerage office. We are looking for someone who can identify creative story angles and pitch to the media to secure coverage across a variety of media types including blogs online print radio & broadcast for the company. Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with key media contacts is required. Applicant must be media savvy energetic and well-versed in all aspects of public relations and real estate. A personable team-oriented and professional disposition is required. You must have some real estate background Responsibilities include Pitching stories about the company and owner to the media Responding to media inquiries in a timely manner Update and maintain company social media sites ( Facebook Blog Twitter LinkedIn Create company monthly online magazine SEO experience Event Planning Knowledge of Photoshop InDesign Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook Customer service skills Identify listings and material to fulfill PR opportunities and provide ideas to fuel additional local and national PR. CisionPoint Media Database Act as a liaison supporting brand and company messages and objectives with local agents clients Maintain familiarity with local market conditions and competitive environment and suggest improvements and new ideas in response to them. Excellent verbal and written communication skills An eye for detail proofing design and understanding of branding Proactive and creative Identify listings and material to fulfill PR opportunities and provide ideas to fuel additional local and national PR. Assemble local market data as appropriate to create custom listing sheets and local market statistics for use in presentations mailings and weekly economic reports. REQUIREMENTS Bachelors degree or relevant experience Real Estate experience Minimum of 3 year of previous PR experience at a PR firm or in-house PR department with proven track record of securing coverage in well-known media outlets and developing successful working relationships with reporters and bloggers.
