Hydrovac Hydro Excavation Operator Description The Hydrovac Hydro Excavation Operator is responsible for driving the Hydrovac Unit to and from jobs approximately 10% of role. Operating the Hydrovac Unit digging holes trenching completing required safety inspections attending safety meetings completing site-specific training maintaining required documents maintaining truck cleanliness jobsite cleanliness developing strong positive relationships with Site Supervisors Foreman and performing a small amount of deep selling site contacts remainder 90%. Role consists of construction type hours that can vary from little hours to several hours during a week. Job Conditions Adverse weather conditions On occasion tank entry (confined space) Sludge pit cleaning Working at various heights Wet muddy conditions Requirements Safety is priority Minimum valid class B license w tanker endorsement Minimum (1) year driving experience preferably with 13 or 18 speed transmission but not required Must possess or able to acquire a Medical DOT physical card and long form that is valid for the 1st year of employment Arrive to jobsite on time ready to work Travel up to (2) weeks at a time hotel paid for with per diem Must be able to pass all pre-employment requirements (Reference checks background alcohol drug testing and training requirements) Submit to all random alcohol drug testing request Ability to lift up to 75 pounds frequently throughout day Ability to be on call 24 7 we provide emergency response to some of our clients Ability to work weekends long hours Effective communication both written and oral Team Player with focus on everyone s safety job productivity Motivated to learn new skill job task OSHA 10 First Aid & CPR Additional consideration given to those applicants with Haz-Whoper OSHA 30 Confined Space Confined Space Rescue Safland NCCER OQ Veriforce OQ related training Pay Scale is Dependent on Experience and will be confirmed upon completion of interview.
