Upholstery Classes & Workshops 1-Day Workshops Saturday 10 00am-12 00pm January 10th 2015 Cost 60 Instructor John Price During this 2 hour workshop the instructor will demonstrate proper use of basic upholstery tools and techniques used in basic upholstery work. This will be a lecture based demonstration of how to prepare breakdown correctly measure fabric and reupholster an actual chair. This will give you the chance to see the entire upholstery process and ask any questions you may have. You will also be able to sign up for our up coming January & April classes. 10-Week Classes Tuesday 6 00pm-9 00pm January 13th 10 Week Class 30 hours Thursday 6 00pm-9 00pm January 15th 10 Week Class 30 hours Saturday 10 00am-2 00pm January 17th 8 Week Class 30 hours Cost 390 Additional Supply Cost 25 Instructor John Price www.JohnPriceUpholstery.com To reserve your spot please send in a 50 deposit which will be applied to the total cost of tuition. In this 10 week class you will learn skills used in basic upholstery projects. Instructor will demonstrate proper use of basic upholstery tools and techniques used in basic upholstery work. The first class will be a lecture based demonstration of how to prepare breakdown correctly measure fabric and reupholster a actual chair. This will give students the chance to see the whole process at once before they individually reupholster their own furniture. During the following 9 weeks students will start and complete their own project. Each student is responsible to bring their piece of furniture to be reupholstered. - We only accept 6 students per class - Must bring chair to the 1st class - We do not prefer chairs with loose cushions unless you are an experienced sewer or would like to make the cushion permanently attached to the chair. - No large wing back chair s love seats or couches. Specific pieces will be accepted at the teachers discretion. (Rule of thumb If you can t lift it yourself it is too big for this class.) - You are welcome to send us a picture of your chair via email before the start date if you are concerned it dons t meet our criteria. - All tools needed will be provided For more information contact us at Portside Arts Center 2531 E.
