SUMMARY The CAD Designer and 3D Modeler will develop and modify product designs in conjunction with production teams and product engineering while meeting customer expectations and established quality standards. RESPONSIBILITIES Develop designs for new products and revise designs for existing products Apply basic engineering principles under moderate supervision Participate in design review with production teams mock-up test lab set up and other related activities as needed Develop designs of moderate complexity from ideas or requirements as presented by engineer needs statement or project team ensuring quality standards are met Develops engineering layouts for projects of moderate scope and complexity using appropriate Computer Aided Design (CAD) to accurately present design concept Researches materials common or generic parts and engineering standards for designs to provide complex ideas or requirements as presented by engineer needs statement or project team Prepares engineering documentation including Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) Bills of Material (BOMs) parts lists engineering specifications and other supporting forms to maintain clear project documentation Provides time estimates for design activities and task related progress reports for current design projects to make necessary adjustments to meet time requirements QUALIFICATIONS Associate s degree in engineering or related field required bachelor s degree preferred 4 years of product design experience required sheet metal or steel experience preferred CAD and PC-based design experience required ProE and Windchill preferred Must be able to work in the United States on a continual basis without sponsorship MANAGEMENT BUSINESS SOLUTIONS IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER
