Job Classification Non Exempt Location Western Learning Center 1613 South Street Philadelphia Pa. 19146 Supervisor Center Director Requirements 1 years of custodial and maintenance experience in a school and or office setting preferred. Education High school diploma or GED Travel Approximately 0-25%% Position Overview The maintenance worker will provide inspection to buildings and grounds in order to insure safe working and learning spaces for children and staff. The maintenance worker will repair and or remove unsafe equipment. Report written or oral reports will be given to supervisor as to the needs or anticipated concerns of the center and supplies. Key Responsibilities Make routine inspections of the physical building structures. Clean trash cans and remove rubbish contained in it replace trash bag. Perform necessary service repair as indicated from routine inspections. Scrape and paint walls windowsills as needed. Put away all supplies after reconciling the order. Purchase required supplies and equipment with supervisor s approval. Requisition of need for building and ground supplies. Replace repair and or clean floor coverings. Sweep clean and or paint fire tower steps and landings. Keep an inventory of buildings supplies and equipment. Clean the vents in the kitchen as well as floor space in the kitchen storage areas. Shoveling snow after a snow storm even if buildings are closed. Arriving early and making necessary adjustments to your schedule so that sidewalks perimeters are free of snow and ice. Perform other duties as assigned. Computer Skills N A Other related skills The ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
