Etchings and Watercolors by Degas and Forain

Many important 19th-Century French Impressionists portrayed Parisian ballet dancers in their art. The most notable Impressionist master whose art included dancers was Edgar Degas. Jean-Louis Forain was another Impressionist who based works on ballet dancers. (In fact it was Degas who introduced Forain to the Parisian ballet scene.) Degas also created works that showed people engaged in everyday activity often viewed from unusual angles. J D Smith Fine Art is currently offering works by Degas and Forain. Another original etching by Degas shows laundresses at their work viewed from across the room. COAs available. See these works by Degas at www.jdsmithfineart.com gallery-of-artists degas-menu.
