Our client is well established Major Bank looking for Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP11 12) Specialist IT Security Location East York Duration 4 month contract position with strong possibility of further extension Summary IT-Info Security Analyst III 4 Month Contract Location Scarborough Manager is seeking a resource that has exceptional experience with SEP 11 12 to join the Anti-Virus Protection team. MUST HAVES 5 years of experience as an IT Security Analyst supporting Windows based applications in a multi-tiered environment. 5 years working with SEP11 12 or similar Malware tools Knowledge of IT Security principles SOX and PCI regulations Knowledge of ITIL principles as they relate to Change Control and Problem Management processes. Excellent communication skills Excellent analytical skills required to troubleshoot and diagnose issues Ability to multi-task and work under pressure Self-motivated and ability to take initiative Provide 7x24 on call support as needed. NICE TO HAVES CISSP CISM or SABSA (SCF) designation would be an asset. Scripting or programming skills would be an asset Job Description Assist E-TC and project management staff with the day-to-day effort to plan and deploy SEP12 rollout upgrade. Assist other teams as required. Troubleshooting functional and performance issues and document root cause and remediation steps. Designing and writing scripts to automate repetitive functions. Performing configuration changes in production as required ensuring that the bank s change management policies and procedures are adhered to. Creating and maintaining technical documentation (e.g. training troubleshooting deployment procedures). Escalation to vendor and or application SMEs when necessary Provide leadership for the provision of technical expertise in development and support of activities processes procedures and tools for protecting information security with a focus on application security Research design and implement application security solutions and practices. Direct testing of security plans. Lead the evaluation of new and proposed security systems and technologies. SKILLS Knowledge of IT standards and procedures. Knowledge of process and tools for assuring adherence to standards.
