Our banking client is looking for a Senior ETL Developer (with SSIS exp) Duration 3 months contract with possibility of extension Location Downtown Toronto Must have Experience with ETL mapping of XML data to and from SQL based databases 8yr Expert in ETL technology with datawarehouse specific skill set SISS 8 yr Software Dev methodologies SDLC 10yr SQL 10 SSIS 8yr TSQL 5-8yr XML 10yr MS-SQL 10yr SSRS 5 -8 yr Experience with Visual Studio 5yr Nice to Have Banking Financial Insurance industry Bilingual French and English ( not a knock off question ) Please note this is a very urgent need . Senior ETL Developer - SSIS Responsibilities Analysing business and technical processes and related data to produce the data flows that meet the business requirements Designing BI solutions with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 2008 R2 Developing data links and data loading scripts including data transformations reconciliations and accuracies Creating data packages and modelling data integration flows with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) from various data sources Building the data integration flows in an efficient way to avoid duplication of code and allow easy updates in the future Create and maintain technical documentation. Assist in the ongoing development of technical best practices for data movement data quality data cleansing and other ETL-related activities. Have the ability to work closely with project managers system analysts data modelers and solution designers in the timely execution of project deliverables. Qualifications Must have 8 years of cumulative experience with SSIS ETL software tool. Experience working with data warehousing concepts terminology and architecture Strong Design analytical multi-tasking and problem solving skills Have solid experience writing SQL queries and SQL Server . Have experience in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology. Good analytical skills and ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to prioritize manage and work on multiple tasks in order to meet key milestones and deadlines. Proven experience in working closely with both internal customers and external customers.
