My Well established client in banking is looking for Sr. Business Analyst II (Credit Risk SAP CBAP) Location Down Town Toronto Duration 10 Months contract with possible extension Credit experience systems tech credit reporting credit risk reporting supporting bus experience producing credit reports Must Haves Senior business analyst who can liaise with multiple credit risk reporting teams to document business requirements and then liaise with technology partners to support the appropriate design and development activities. 5 Years Lead the process through the Test Methodology from a business perspective (Test Strategy Test Plan Test Scripts) and leverage self and assigned resources to execute testing and document the appropriate business acceptance criteria. 5 Years Experienced in the implementation and or use of business intelligence reporting analytics tools (specifically SAP business objects) 5 Years Nice to have Has an understanding of the credit risk business (previous regulatory experience would be preferred ie. Basel) or any familiarity with BCBS239 (Basel Committee for Banking Supervision paper on Risk Data Aggregation and Reporting) would be an asset Undergraduate degree in Business Technology or related field Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP as per IIBA) is preferred but not mandatory Department Overview The Enterprise & Operation Risk Management department is accountable for building capability to manage risk on a more integrated and comprehensive basis. We work as an independent team in partnership with business units and corporate groups of Bank Group to further the understanding and management of enterprise and operational risk. Job Description Accountabilities You are an experienced and proactive analyst who has experience leading critical deliverables as part of large and complex enterprise wide data intensive projects. You are comfortable in a fluid and fast paced environment because you are able to deal with ambiguity by formulating options and recommendations in support of a longer term vision. You are also familiar with credit risk related regulations (ie. BCBS239 and BASEL) and the regulatory bodies in both Canada and the US. The successful candidate will lead key activities related to the BCBS gap closure under the umbrella of Risk Management s RISE (Risk Information Strategy for the Enterprise) program. The RISE program is a new and evolving program in a strategic area of ERM & ORM. RISE will enhance our ability to manage risk within our Risk Appetite through more effective and efficient use of data and technology. The RISE team will build out the strategy and roadmap and will partner with our Risk Business Technology and Architecture partners to deliver key RISE initiatives. Overall Accountabilities Accountable for analysis and recommendations in support of establishing best practices related to establishing and monitoring key data quality metrics. Lead analysis activities related to data gap analysis along with the creation of BRDs to close said gaps via leveraging a close relationship with technology teams Prioritize and manage workload while ensuring high quality results that confirm to overall project timelines. Where needed you are able to work with Project Managers to identify changes in plan. Regularly document progress and communicate progress across the program team to ensure stakeholders are informed of any dependency changes. Ensure both partners and yourself are aware of other items that impact deliverables. Work closely with internal sources of credit risk data while leveraging widely accepted data mining languages tools. Work closely with data repository stewards to centrally define common definitions while keeping alignment to how data quality will be assured through the key quality indicators. Develop a sufficient understanding of ERM and the business aspects of the RISE Program to effectively identify issues and dependencies Qualifications Skills Experience As a Senior Business Analyst you should have demonstrated the following strengths in prior roles Proficiency using relational databases within various data storage environments (ie. SQL PC SAS Mainframe). Strength and breadth in utilizing industry accepted business intelligence and reporting tools (ie. Cognos Business Objects etc). Experience as a report prepared would be beneficial. Accountable for the strategy related documentation and execution of Testing for requirements defined in the BRD. Familiar with industry practices related to the monitoring of key risk indicators adjudication and credit portfolio management would be beneficial. Experience documenting process maps ERD and DFD while leveraging six sigma practices to redesign business oriented processes. Must have sound knowledge of Project Management and System Development Life Cycles. Ability to self-regulate conflicting priorities and schedules to ensure expectations are managed accordingly. Excellent facilitation verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail and the ability to communicate with wide variety of audiences and levels. Demonstrates ownership responsibility and personal commitment to meet challenging objectives. An enthusiastic team player who enjoys sharing their knowledge experience and ideas and is open to the ideas of others. Adept at reaching out to new teams contacts and building strong mutually beneficial relationships.
