Position Sales Engineer Location Thayne WY Role The Sales Engineer will assist with understanding customer s requirements the design of comprehensive networking solutions delivering sales presentations presenting technical information about products and services conducting product demonstrations installation product evaluations assisting in responding to RFP s and RFI s. Essential Job Functions Assist the sales staff with technical sales activities in new and existing opportunities. Technical value proposition creation by identifying customer needs engineering solutions utilizing our products equipment and services. Prepares cost estimates by studying blueprints plans and related customer documents consulting with engineers architects and other professional and technical personnel. Determines improvements by analyzing cost-benefit ratios of equipment supplies or service applications in customer environment engineering or proposing changes in equipment processes or use of materials or services Works with RFP managers to answer questions regarding costs technical design options configurations etc. Creates and conducts proposal presentations and RFP responses. Assists in new product development determine demand for new products pricing strategies and marketing materials. Liaison to Management for issues surrounding marketing product development competitive issues technology deployment and partnership synergies. Develops internal and customer s staff by providing technical information and training. Prepares sales engineering reports by collecting analyzing and summarizing sales information and engineering and application trends. Keeps current on technology regulatory guidelines and communications industry. Other duties as assigned Knowledge Skills and Abilities Bachelor s degree in relevant field. 3 5 years of proven outside business development experience in telecommunications working with complex accounts requiring application development and technical design. Requires in-depth understanding of technology based services products and networking with proven experience in driving sales and revenue growth Must possess in-depth hands-on experience with leading edge telecommunications technology products and services competitors products and services and can demonstrate solid networking skills to customers. Work requires continual attention to detail. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands. Resourceful Roll up the sleeves attitude. The successful candidate must have the initiative to resolve problems seek answers independently and enthusiastically persist until goals are achieved. A thorough knowledge of government contracts procurement procedures and avenues of penetration for telecommunications services acquisition. Demonstrate strong written oral and presentation skills with the ability to discuss highly technical concepts to a variety of audiences including the management team. Advanced presentation skills utilizing the latest technology Proficiency with PC based applications such as Word PowerPoint and Excel. Ability to hold a valid Wyoming or Idaho Driver s License.
