Our major consulting company is looking for an IT Spend Manager Duration 8 months contract with possibility of extension Location Mississauga ON Manage Category Design and implement contract management and communications including processes for supplier capabilities market and financial position Establish maintain and manage relationship between customer and supplier Implement and support enforcement of buying and contracting processes Define and manage contractual and supplier relationships Effectively raise issues concerns before they arise and present options for resolution Own manage and update project data Monitor category trends and conduct market research as needed Comply with Performance Metrics Identify addressable spend by designated category Identify and track negotiated spend and savings Achieve utilization targets Recommend Improvements Review operational results and identify opportunities for process changes and additional spend savings Refine current sourcing strategy and recommend suggestions for improvement Define sourcing (buying) and contracting process recommend to and obtain approval from the Client s customer Formulate procurement and category-specific policies and lead implementation Partner with the Client s Global Category Directors to develop and execute category strategy Sourcing and Contract Management Utilize Client s sourcing and category methodology Analyze spend Identify sourcing opportunities Develop product service specifications in cooperation with Client s business owners Build and manage baseline data and category knowledge capture (spend savings templates case studies and procurement practices) Develop sourcing strategy for business owner approval Define sourcing and contracting process for business owner approval Develop supplier evaluation and selection criteria as part of agreed procurement strategy Coordinate and respond to sales support client team requests as necessary Identify and evaluate incumbent and potential suppliers by applying established evaluation and selection criteria Negotiate or renegotiate with suppliers e.g. Software Licenses and Services Agreement Maintenance Agreement Master Services Agreement Statement of Work Manage the negotiation and contract development process Establish metrics (Spend Saving Tracker KPI s SLA s etc.) for contracts negotiated Identify opportunities to improve or enhance service delivery Provide input to Client s best practices Basic Qualifications Minimum 5 years procurement experience Minimum 3 years sourcing and contract negotiations experience Minimum 2 years IT related experience (may be in IT or Procurement) Minimum 5 years client facing experience in a corporate environment Bachelor s degree or four additional years of work experience Preferred Skills Previous consulting experience Industry and or commodity experience Indirect Services experience preferred Procurement IT experience (hardware and software) Professional Skills Proven ability to work independently and as a team member Good written oral and interpersonal skills Good organizational multi-tasking and time management skills Project management experience Ability to apply analytical and problem solving skills to a customer challenge Ability to work in a virtual environment 8 00am to 5 00pm Please note that this is the most up to date version of job description available at this time During Client Interview you will receive additional information variance may apply When you have some time please register in our database (5 minute process) to be considered for future openings the link is available on our website at www.teamrecruiter.com in the Candidate section.
