Clinical Instructor - Early Childhood Education

Teaching up to three undergraduate Early Childhood Education (ECE) courses per semester. This may include supervising small groups of student teachers accounting for one course. Coordinating field placements for all ECE students and supervision of field experiences for two cohorts of undergraduate students. Advising undergraduate students. Advising responsibilities include assisting with the admission process every semester as well as portfolio reviews for exiting graduates. Serving as the Curriculum Coordinator for the Child Development Laboratory. Engagement in professional development activities and scholarship related to the Department of Human Development and Family Science Early Childhood Education program and instructional excellence. Minimum Qualifications Master degree in early childhood education or child development. Teaching experience with children in PreK through 3rd grade is required. The successful candidate must provide evidence of employment eligibility as required. Candidates must have excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively with students coworkers and administrative personnel. Preferred Qualifications Ph.D. Ed.d Early childhood education or child development. Early childhood teaching certification preferred. Knowledge and experience in inclusive education environments and the Reggio Emilia approach preferred. Previous experience supervising student teachers and teaching college courses preferred.
