Duffy of San Diego is the leading electric boat rental and charter company operation out of Mission Bay with a 5 star rating on TripAdvisor and Yelp. We have the largest and newest Duffy Electric Boat fleet in all of San Diego. We are looking to add more members to our fun upbeat team with a focus in the highest level of customer service and satisfaction. If you like being out in the sun and working on the waterfront this will be a fun summer job for you. Team members enjoy free use of our boats during their time off to enjoy with their friends and family. Position Prerequisites 1. High school education preferred. 2. Must be capable of working unsupervised. 3. Ability to perform high-level of customer service 4. Ability to work with guest in all areas with a positive approach. 5. Ability to concentrate on detail and follow-up work while maintaining a high standard of guest satisfaction. 6. Ability to work as a team. 7. Knowledge of water crafts and how to properly operate them not necessarily a requirement can train the right candidate. 8. Knowledge of boat trailers winches and their operation a plus. 9. Some small tool knowledge. Purpose Orients boat renters on operation of boat and the equipment assists guests in and out of boats. Prepare boats through thorough interior and exterior cleaning including vacuuming and windows. Check boats for damage and weekly cleaning and maintenance of boats. Perform ALL duties with the highest level of customer service and satisfaction. Major Duties 1. Orient customer on how to actually drive and operate the boat. 2. Show safety equipment to customers. 3. Explain travel routes on map and detail caution areas. 4. Pre-check of boats and safety equipment. 5. Some maintenance of boats and work area may be required. 6. Cleaning the boats and preparing for next rental. 7. Ensure proper inventory is on board boat prior to rental (i.e. life jackets fire extinguisher etc.) 8. Maintain a clean work area. 9. Control traffic in marina area and assist customers with docking boats. 10. Greet all customers as they enter your work area. Offer assistance immediately. Thank all customers as they leave work area. 11. Always operate with an emphasis on guest hospitality. 12. Use clean as you go method when performing your work duties. 13. Adhere to safety policies. 14. Maintain a cooperative team-like attitude in working with supervisors and fellow employees. 15. Maintain a positive attitude toward the dock and the job being performed. General 1. Position can lead into a full-time year-round position. 2. Perform all reasonable job requests assigned by management. 3. Material handling stooping bending small lifting will be part of some job requirements. 4. Part full time available.
