Hello My name is Brenda Morris. I am an accomplished pianist and experienced piano teacher of 39 years. My favorite age group to teach are children from the ages of 6-18 but I have accepted some adults in the past. Students will need to have at least a 3 octave keyboard clavinova or piano to practice on at home. Lessons will last 30 minutes unless I feel it absolutely necessary that the lesson time should be expanded to 45 - 60 minutes depending on the age and ability of the student. A 30 minute lesson is 20 45 minutes is 30 and 1 hour is 40. Lessons are 1 time weekly and will be taught at my home in Port Charlotte FL. I prefer to be paid at the beginning of the month. If either the student or I need to cancel for any reason I will have makeup days to offer. A 24-hour cancelation notice is required or student will forfeit makeup lesson. Personl local checks cash or money orders. No credit or debit cards please. I am a firm believer that my students need to understand not only the notes on a keyboard but understanding of time signitures and have good counting skill and music theory understanding. My teaching methods are the latest found and I am a firm believer of my students enjoying their lessons. After they initially learn the basics I like for my students to have a wide appreciation of different music genre.
