Our client is well-established in the printing and consulting industry. They are looking for an Exp. Service Technician (Printers & Copiers) in Toronto ON to work on a long term assignment. Only candidates who have Printer and Copier Break Fix experience will be considered for an interview. Essential Duties Provide repair and service support in customer s location working with low to mid-range office products (Printers Copiers and Fax) in a break fix mode and preventative maintenance mode. < > and maintenance PC Printers Fax and Copiers Range of maintenance on assigned products including repair on-site troubleshooting installation removal retrofit and preventive maintenance activities Take responsibility of customer satisfaction by providing timely and courteous service with minimal support from other personnel. Observe all service call procedures including preliminary notification to the customer of call receipt with established time of arrival (ETA) whenever possible. Participate as a full member is a service workgroup and contribute to the group s productivity. Check operation of equipment clean adjust as required to ensure optimal print quality Replace consumables as required (CRU paper toner) Proactively manage consumables and supplies replacement. Complete inventory reporting as required. Support download & installation of printer drivers for end-users of network connected devices (as required). Provide customer training on assigned products to improve end user knowledge of equipment functionality. Perform equipment asset tracking using XOS Software Suite (if required) Assist in tracking Move Add Change (MAC) of office equipment assets at designated sites as require Work with customer IT division to identify needs and action appropriately Maintain an equipment activity log. Assist in providing accurate and timely monthly reporting. Take responsibility for customer satisfaction through proper use of customer management skills Keep service management informed of potential customer issues if unable to resolve Repair and service support in customer s location Customer call assistance Present a professional Image Professional dress code Polite tidy and well organized Ask before taking action Required technical skills Previous experience with break fix of copiers or printers would be required Require good networking skills Listen understand & communicate effectively Effective interpersonal skill behaviors Ability to work independently and or on a team with minimal supervision Maintenance and repair of electronic electrical mechanical printing or computer equipment Technical troubleshooting and repair skills Advanced operator product training & knowledge. service experience with the Xerox Office Equipment MS Office experience (Excel Word Outlook Access etc.) Functional level competency in computer network skill Strong interpersonal and teamwork skill Exceptional organizational skills Vocational or technical certificate in electrical electronic curriculum Electro-mechanical aptitude Must have experience on repairing printers and copiers Demonstrate good verbal and written skills Must demonstrate customer focus (what is a customer and their requirements) Demonstrate the ability to comprehended written and verbal instructions Valid drivers license of that province State that they may be required to lift 30 pounds Must have the ability to work both independently and within a team environment. Must have good organizational skills and the ability to multi-task. Qualifications Education Experience Desired A certificate or diploma from a recognized technical school or college in the field of electronics electrical repair reprographics or a related field. Two (2) or more years of related field experience as a technician may be substituted for the certificate diploma. Additional Comments Must be fluent in English.
