Connections Inc. is currently seeking caring compassionate reliable and motivated Direct Support Staff to work in our group homes in Bloomington MN. Job Opportunities may include Full Time Part time - evening overnight and weekends. As a Direct Support Staff you will be responsible for assisting with activities of daily living medication administration personal cares meal preparation taking the individuals we serve on outings and any other necessary job duties to meet the needs and improve the quality of life for the individuals we serve. Connections offers Competitive Pay Numerous training opportunities including First Aid and CPR Minimum Requirements Verbal and written communication skills to document throughout your shift The ability to problem solve The ability to perform the job functions with little supervision Valid driver s license with an acceptable driving record Must pass a criminal background check 18 years of age or older High School Diploma or GED Overnight Shift Description Overnight staff are to remain awake during their shift. Consumers will be primarily asleep during the overnight though it is possible that consumer attention may be required during the night. Cleaning and household care are an integral part of this position. The morning routine consists of getting consumers out of bed showered dressed for the day work oral topical med administration etc. Evening Shift Description The evening shift consists of accompanying consumers into the community implementing programs meal preparation bedtime care routine oral topical medication administration etc. Morning Shift Description Morning Staff are responsible for the morning routine which consists of getting consumers out of bed showered dressed for the day work oral topical med administration etc. Consumers in these homes have developmental disabilities physical disabilities and or mental illness.
