My client is a well-established printing firm is looking to fill a position of Remote Service Specialist Duration 9 months of contract with the possibility of extension Location North York ON No. of openings 1 Working Hours - Available work hours between 8 00 a.m. and 8 00 p.m. Eastern time Monday Friday depending on shift coverage requirement Description POSITION CONCEPT Successful candidates will be part of our expanding remote services program supporting our multiple award winning products. This dynamic team of dedicated Remote Service Specialists (RSS) diagnose and solve technical issues remotely eliminating the need for an on-site service call. The incumbent will be accountable for the diagnosis and repair of equipment hardware and select software service calls via phone. Strong candidates will have solid technical and customer support skills balanced with sales influencing skills to promote successful remote diagnosis with our customers. The position will be based out of the organisations head office in North York Ontario. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES - Team member sharing responsibilities for reducing field service visits. - Correct equipment service issues within the assigned product mix. - Meet or exceed RSS Key Performance Indicators - Follow documented escalation procedures - Concise and effective communication skills (written and verbal). To clearly communicate with customers and Organisations employees - Ensure Organisations systems are current with validated customer information - Represent Organisations to customers in a professional manner -QUALIFICATIONS - Strong technical abilities aptitude in correcting service problems - Able to interact with customers on the phone to conceptualize customer issues as part of the problem solving process and interpret information from different sources to develop a course of action - Ability to work in a structured environment - Previous Copier Printer hardware experience preferred - Demonstrated competency in use of computers and aptitude to learn applications quickly - Comfortable working in a changing environment - Past technical experience an asset - Selling experience an asset (the ability to close or sell a concept) - Strong influencing skills to convince customer to work with RSS (selling skills an asset) - Past experience working with HP printers and multifunction devices an asset Candidate Education - College Technical Diploma or technical support certifications (ie CompTIA Microsoft etc.) are preferred however candidates with high school and relevant work experience will be considered.
