Nurse Practitioner PRN Family Nurse Practitioner

Nurse Practitioner needed with superior diagnostic and procedural skills an appreciation of teamwork and professionalism. The successful Nurse Practitioner candidate will be part of a team dedicated to quality of health care that is client-focused safe and effective in a high-volume fast-paced environment. Essential Functions Evaluates physical health status of the patient through a comprehensive health history and physical examination using skills of observation inspection palpation percussion and auscultation Assesses normal and abnormal findings from history physical examination and diagnostic reports Assesses patient s health status and health care issues based on specific criteria Guide and direct all referrals to outside healthcare providers and services as needed Provide or manage the required physical evaluation programs and services to meet regulatory requirement such as City of Houston Department of Transportation OSHA CDC etc. Consults with corporate clients on pre-employment assessments based on their specific jobs physical requirements and makes recommendations to ensure the qualifications of each candidate Sign off and oversee vaccine counts evaluate vaccine storage methods and processes to ensure compliance Attend HHS mandatory meetings and train staff on new findings Responsible for direct and indirect supervision of health services staff Conducts oversees trains and evaluates the health services staff in delivering client services evaluations physical examinations and assessments adult and child immunizations FCEs Human Performance Evaluations Fit-For-Work Assessments and blood collections Medical staff evaluations Plans implements and evaluates the delivery of services by the medical team Initiates and maintains accurate records appropriate legal documents and other health and service reports Participates in the periodic and joint evaluation of services rendered Participates in policy analysis and development of new policy initiatives as it relates to the facilities specialty in the area of practice specialty Contributes to development maintenance and change of the healthcare delivery systems to improve quality of health care services and client access to services Performs other duties and accepts responsibility as assigned Job Requirements Board Certified from the NCCPA or Family Nurse Practitioner national certification. Master s Degree level from a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program. Current Nurse Practitioner license in applicable state or ability to obtain. DEA license or ability to obtain. Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support required. Minimum 2 years of clinical experience urgent care and outpatient clinic experience preferred. Ability to formulate a differential diagnosis. Proficient in assessment and development of treatment plans. Effective communication skills. Ability to function in collaboration with other healthcare professionals. Outstanding organization skills and ability to multi-task. Takes initiative creative has problem solving ability is adaptable and flexible. Ability to practice autonomously with minimal physician supervision and knows when to consult a physician. Ability to consistently present a friendly welcoming and professional public-facing appearance Ability to work in fast-paced environment Bi-lingual English Spanish is preferred.
