Journeyman 1 Long Standing Electrical Commercial Construction company in Torrance CA is looking for 3 Journeymen to work with a dynamic team on a few Large projects that are underway. As a Journeyman you must have 5-6 years experience in the electrical construction industry Completed certification as an electrical trainee and have passed the Journeyman s exam. As a journeyman you will be responsible for learning and performing the following types of tasks on the job Code knowledge Healthcare and hazardous locations. Feeder routing and detailing. Rack detailing and layout. Master conduit routing. Switchgear installations. Layout of electrical rooms. Layout rough in electrical work. Understands material ordering and receiving processes. Understands lighting and gear submittals. Understands how to use the job specification book. Be able to set up temporary power. Sits in on apprentice reviews. As a journeyman one of the most important job requirements is the training of the apprentices below you. While the apprentice will be enrolled in school it is important to show them how the lessons learned apply to everyday installation. We offer Medical benefits and require some weekend work.
