One of our premiere manufacturing companies has an opportunity for a Roofer Laborer at their facility in Mentor Ohio. This is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door with a growing and reputable company. Duration Long-term temporary to permanent Compensation 12 hr Shift 1st Shift 7 00 3 30. Overtime is available and may be mandatory at times. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITEIS Inspects composition shingles slate shingles roofing tiles built up and metal roofs for leaks. Removes old roofs installs roof insulation and performs repairs as indicated to leaking roofs. Installs composition shingles slate shingles roofing tiles and flashings. Applies cold process roof coatings. Erects rigging. Provide support to various departments and perform tasks to create efficiency and increase productivity Maintain clean and organize facility by sweeping trash removal etc. Maintains a safe working environment by obeying all safety rules Position will consist of general labor duties unloading lifting light construction and various tasks as needed and assigned. Performs other related duties as required. KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES Requires high school diploma 1-2 years of good work history Considerable knowledge of the tools equipment materials and methods utilized in roof repair and installation. Considerable knowledge of the hazards and safety requirements of the trade. Ability to remove and install roofs. Ability to work at heights and on flat and inclined surfaces. Ability to climb ladders and set up work requirements in a safe manner. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Skill in the use of appropriate tools and equipment. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand use hands and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to walk stoop kneel crouch or crawl. The employee may be required to sometimes sit climb or balance. The employee may lift and or move up to 50 pounds.
