Cooperative Education Program Coordinator

This position will help manage a multi-institutional multi-disciplinary integrated research project focused on Coupled Human and Natural Changes to Climate Variability. This program is a five-year 24 million award from the National Science Foundation Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (NSF-EPSCoR) involving four primary Oklahoma academic institutions (Oklahoma State University the University of Oklahoma Tulsa University and the Sam Noble Research Foundation) as well as outreach programs involving several other Oklahoma institutions. The Program Coordinator will direct and manage the day-to-day details of assuring the project activities accountability and time lines stay on track. This project involves dozens of faculty researchers from diverse fields as well as numerous post-doctoral fellows graduate students undergraduate students and staff. Although this individual will have many responsibilities he she will work closely with the Lead Researcher the Executive Committee the PI and Co-PI and the EPSCoR staff to accomplish their responsibilities. Travel required travel budget provided. This position is funded with grant dollars. Continuation of employment. is based upon need performance and available funding. Minimum qualifications Bachelor degree in natural physical or policy sciences and one year of related experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Professionalism team spirit and a positive attitude. Ability to work effectively with other departments and organizations. Ability to work independently initiating and completing projects. Ability to plan coordinate and deliver special events. Personal computer and word processing skills. Preferred Masters in environmental sciences. Ability to quickly and succinctly summarize verbal comments during public meetings Comfort in dealing with public Experience with MS Access.
