Plumbing Apprentice Instructor

POSITION GOALS Provide instruction to adult non-credit students utilizing an approved training curriculum and materials in accordance with the NJ and US Departments of Labor for our evening Plumbing Apprentice Program. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS At least 5 years of experience in the Plumbing field either residential or commercial setting. A minimum of two years teaching experience. Journeyman level of certification required. Master craftsman preferred. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Plan prepare and deliver approved curriculum on a daily basis. Evaluate and assist in the resolution of student concerns. Prepare lesson plans. Track student grades and attendance. Lead inspire motivate and advise students to actively participate in all aspects of their educational process. Maintain expertise in the subject area. Provide regular accurate and timely feedback to students and the school concerning academics behavior attendance etc. This position holds responsibility for the success of the Plumbing Apprentice program. It requires that a professional attitude be modeled as well as taught and that students are given the knowledge skill and ability to serve the community as a professional plumber. Instructors provide assessment of students through applicable monitoring and reporting processes. SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLICANTS This is a part-time seven-month non-affiliated position. The Plumbing Apprentice program runs from October through April Monday through Thursday evenings. This position requires constant mobility throughout the school. Employee must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
