POSITION GOALS Provide instruction both classroom and lab instruction to adult non-credit students utilizing an approved training curriculum and materials in accordance with the State of NJ for CCC s evening HVAC program. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS HVAC technician with a minimum of five years of field experience in either residential or commercial setting. CFC 608 certification required NATE RSES CM and or CMS Certifications preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of subject specialty and effective teaching methods. Minimim of two years teaching experience. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Plan prepare and deliver approved curriculum on a daily basis. Evaluate and assist in the resolution of student concerns. Prepare lesson plans. Track student grades and attendance. Lead inspire motivate and advise students to actively participate in all aspects of their educational process. Maintain expertise in the subject area. Provide regular accurate and timely feedback to students and the school concerning academics behavior attendance etc. Plan and organize instructional materials supply inventories tools equipment. Instructors should enjoy working with people to help develop them into quality technicians. Instructors provide assessment of students through applicable monitoring and reporting processes. HVAC instructors ensure adherence to all safety standards and practices including oversight care and maintenance of facilities equipment and materials. HVAC instructors continuously promote all energy efficiency incentive programs by building awareness and understanding of program requirements among vendors suppliers builders and residential and commercial customers SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLICANTS This is a part-time ten-month non-affiliated position. HVAC program runs from September through June Monday through Thursday evenings. This position requires constant mobility throughout the school. Employee must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
