About KC s Cleaning Cavalry KC s Cleaning Cavalry is a new residential cleaning service that caters specifically to college students in the LSU area. We provide services as small as cleaning a single bedroom and bathroom to large services like after party cleanings. We re looking to hire employees--not independent contractors--to aid in our mission of keeping college housing clean. Job Description The description below is a brief overview of what is expected of our cleaners called Cleaning Cavaliers. A full description will be provided at the employment interview. The tasks a Cleaning Cavalier will need to perform include but are not limited to Carrying cleaning supplies and a vacuum. Cleaning bedrooms living rooms hallways restrooms kitchens corridors stairways laundry rooms and other areas. Emptying wastebaskets and transporting other trash and waste to disposal areas. Observing precautions required to protect client s property and report damage theft and found articles to supervisors. Cleaning rugs carpets upholstered furniture and draperies using vacuum cleaners. Dusting and polishing furniture. Transporting handling and returning supplies and equipment. Cleaning mirrors and removing cobwebs. Sweeping and cleaning floors using brooms and mops. Moving and arranging furniture as necessary. Dusting window blinds. Placing dishes in dishwashers. Taking credit card payments from clients. Work activities include but are not limited to Performing general physical activities such as applying cleaning solvents moving or lifting heavy objects cleaning rooms or work areas and cleaning floors. Getting information from clients. Establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships with clients. Handling and moving objects. Maintaining communication with supervisors and peers. Making decisions and solving problems. Training and teaching others. Organizing planning and prioritizing work in accordance with company cleaning procedures.
