Location Downtown Toronto Duration 6 months contract with possible extension Manager is seeking a Lead Business Systems Analyst for the Risk Information Strategy project (BCBS 239 RDARR) MUST HAVES 5-8 years experience - Must have LEAD experience leading a team - Experience Defining Strategies - Experience as a Solution Architect - Strong IT Technology Background - Financial Banking Experience - Integration Experience - Managing team of BSAs BAs in complex multi-stream program - Experience with data warehousing data modeling BI architecture - Experience with solution architecture and systems integration - Support BRD collection process with business - Develop and document specifications for reporting metrics - Develop specification for data warehouse and data marts - Experience creating data mapping documentation - Experience working with data data warehouses is required - Experience with SQL language - Write Queries - Supporting Business Requirements for the Business Team - Analyze Data - SRS - Microsoft Excel Microsoft PowerPoint Microsoft Outlook Nice to Have Knowledge of Credit Risk Data Integration and Reporting Knowledge of Data Quality methodologies and tools Enterprise Experience Responsibilities Work with business stakeholders as SMEs to assess current capabilities understand business requirements and translate and develop into Technical System Requirements Specification (SRS) documents. Position requires sound knowledge of data warehousing and reporting and related methodologies Work with the business to design effective To-Be processes identify and define detailed product requirements and use cases Work with the Solution Developers and IT Specialists (Solution Designers Configuration Data Modeler Test) to translate user and or systems requirements into functional technical specifications Collaborate closely with Application Owners Application Managers and Solution Designers as the business functional counterpart in solution identification and maintenance Support testing teams in translating requirements and use cases into test conditions and expected results for product performance user acceptance and operational acceptance testing participate in the testing of developed systems solutions Adhere to existing processes standards including the system development life cycle (SDLC) and project management methodology (PMLC) business technology architecture risk and production capacity guidelines and escalate issues as required Monitor product lifecycles ensuring specifications and functionality support business objectives and architecture decisions undertaking re-development as required Participate in quality management reviews in particular reviews of the designs prototypes and other requirements work products to ensure they fulfill the requirements Contribute to the development of project plans by participating in the scoping and estimating of proposed projects Communicate project status and provide timely escalation of issues to the Technology Project Manager (Application Manager Demand Manager Portfolio Manager) and ensure timely notification and escalation of possible issues problems options and recommendations for prompt resolution Act as a technical resource for business partners to ensure deliverables meet business and end-user requirements Continuously enhance knowledge expertise in own area and keep current with leading-edge technologies trends developments and develop expertise in services applications infrastructure analytical tools and techniques that can contribute to effective solution development delivery Work with the Technology Project Manager and architecture organization to define metrics and performance goals for the application Assist in the delivery and maintenance of secure computing facilities and technical infrastructure architecture to support stakeholders and applications as appropriate Serve as a resource for the change enablement team as they evaluate training and performance support needs and design the training and performance support products Prioritize and manage own workload in order to deliver quality results and meet timelines Support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business quality innovation and teamwork and ensure timely communication of issues points of interest Advanced knowledge of tools (e.g. MS Office Excel Access Visio) within own area Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance productivity effectiveness and operational efficiency of the business unit and or team Participate in knowledge transfer within the team and business units Establish effective relationships across multiple business and technology partners program and project managers Sound knowledge of Bank and technology standards (e.g. infrastructure architecture processes applications). Sound to advanced knowledge of source to target data mapping and data analysis.
