Behavioral Education for Children with Autism (BECA) www.beca-aba.com Qualifications At least a high school diploma. 2 years completed college coursework in psychology and or training in implementing one-to-one discrete trial instruction to children with autism preferred. Requirements Valid California identification card current automobile insurance ( 100 000 300 000 liability limits) current TB clearance within one year immunization record (MMR Hep B Pertussis Varicella) and fingerprint clearance through the California DOJ and FBI. Training On the job field training or other training provided by BECA and or professionals outside the agency. Registered Behavior Technician training provided and compensated for. Duties and Responsibilities Conduct scheduled 1 1 behavioral intervention for children with autism. Assist in introduction of items targets as appropriate and according to the written protocol. Record and maintain accurate records of child s progress and difficulties for each session conducted. Relay observations and suggestions to Clinical Supervisor or Behavior Analyst. Participate and contribute to regular team meetings. Review and sign weekly team meeting notes. Assist in training less experienced staff on child s team in behavioral intervention techniques and professionalism as required. Assist in maintaining child s service notebook in a clear up to date and organized manner. Assist in maintaining intervention materials at the home and office in an organized manner. Assist with intervention material generation as requested. Staff must be able to reasonably prevent elopement or give chase as necessary to ensure child safety. Staff must be able to physically lift and carry up to 50 pounds (e.g. grocery items houseware items move furniture) as well as be able to physically assist guide and facilitate movement for consumers that may need physical assistance. Starting Pay- 11.00- 13.00 Reliable transportation is REQUIRED for this position. Part-time Full-time positions available. This IS NOT a seasonal position.
