This position is located in Norman OK at the National Weather Service. Position supports the Oklahoma Mesonet statewide outreach extension educational efforts in agriculture and natural resources. Responsibilities include the ability to Develop weather and climate educational materials in various media formats which address 4-H FFA and leader needs. Conduct statewide activities and projects to increase understanding and utilization of Oklahoma Mesonet data services and information products through various communications and educational media formats. Plan design manage and staff demonstration exhibits for statewide educational events. Solicit analyze and share user feedback to enhance Mesonet products and services. Travel budget provided. Must be able to load move and set up trade show exhibits including items weighing up to 40 lbs. Required qualifications Bachelor s in Agriculture Natural Sciences Agriculture Communications or related. Knowledge of or involvement in Agriculture Natural Resource Management 4-H FFA and or outdoor recreation. Desired skills include listening writing public speaking organizational time management and teamwork. Proficiency in use of computers computer-based communications technology and social media needed. Preferred qualifications Prefer background and or experience in Agriculture 4-H FFA or outdoor recreation. Experience in education or marketing.
