GRINDERS 13u TRYOUT DATE Saturday August 15th 8U-11U 9am 12U-14U Noon Location Westwood High School Varsity Field 945 W Rio Salado Pkwy Mesa AZ 85201 What is available to our players Extreme indoor practice workout facility 5 pitching mounds 4 batting cages large open area for fielding work (also avilable to player to come work on there own) Fields that are guaranteed availability Access to former and current college and Pro players Access to college and pro scouts and trainers _____________________________________________ _____________________________________ Goals Vision We intend to assist players in becoming successful at positions best suiting there talents and performance. Players will need to play multiple positions to free up game situations but otherwise we need to have a player in a position where he can achieve his greatest success. We feel if a player intends to play into the future (high school college) he will be given the tools to do do so. Although we provide the tools and the methods it is ultimately up to the player to make the decission to go to the next level. _____________________________________________ _____________________________________ Key Many teams reserve there fields on a first come first serve basis having to be at the mercy of what ever facility they rent from. Kelly (Grinders owner) has created partnerships within the east valley and select other areas therefore we very seldom are searching for field accomodations. Also fields are suited age aproppriate (12u field is much smaller than 13u) . If your son intends to play Jr High baseball in Mesa this will be another great advantage for him. Even in jr high in Mesa base distance is 60 90 USSSA is smaller. Kelly played for a number of years in the professional ranks. Over this time he has kept in touch with many former players whom show up from time to time. Because of the facility being where it is and the valley being a hot bed for spring training a variety of current players come in to congrigate and hone there skills and are often socable with Grinders participants.With all of this talent flowing into the facility player agents and scouts are often following. Kelly himself has a vast accumulation of scouting professionals in his portfolio many that are unknown to other club ball organizations.
