Under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) performs professional accounting work with emphasis on analyzing and reconciling general ledger accounts assists in preparing the annual and mid-year budgets prepares year end audit reports and schedules and performs related work as required. The Controller works with a high degree of independence in performing accounting and financial activities for the agency. Successful performance of the work requires good knowledge of accounting practices and procedures fund accounting and financial analysis. Education and Experience Required Bachelor s Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university with major coursework in accounting finance economics or a related field. Valid Alaska Driver s License proof of auto insurance TB screening and the ability to pass a background check. Preferred Experience with Medicaid billing.
