If you are not a Honest dependable reliable team player please do not apply for this position The Laundry Worker performs a variety of tasks such as collecting and sorting soiled linen loading and unloading machines and folding clean linens. They are also responsible for making proper deliveries to the units. Laundry Workers also clean and sanitize their work area daily including machines work tables and sorting areas. Have ability to follow instructions Prioritize work assignments in a timely manner Ability to bend and sort soiled linen a minimum of 2 hours a day Ability to lift 20 - 30 pound bags of soiled linen to the washer for loading a minimum of 40 times a day. Ability to lift bundles of clean linen to a delivery cart to deliver to the units. Ability to push 50 pound linen hamper safely up and down a hallway. Ability to bend at the knees waist and neck at least 50 times a day to allow the sorting and or folding of linens. Working Conditions Stands walks and bends most of the day. Works in a clean well-lighted and well ventilated laundry area. Must be able to interact with other people in and on the units. Must be cautious while working to avoid cuts sprains or other injuries. Involves pushing and pulling carrying weight up to 50 pounds twisting bending and reaching from floor to waist height and from waist to above their head.
