My client is a well-established Major Bank located in Toronto ON. They are looking for an Business Analyst (Trade Finance Systems Banking Exp.) This is a 6 month Contract with a strong possibility of an extension or permanent opportunity.SUMMARY Accountable for successful technology and process project implementations including effective change management for the Trade Finance Operations Project Delivery Team. Act as the coordination point for small projects and serve as an integration point for technical projects change management initiatives for the assigned business unit. Accountable for one or more of the various stages of the project lifecycle including idea and opportunity assessment business case development solution design development initiative implementation and or play a critical role in maintaining sustaining business as usual state for small- to mid-sized projects initiatives in support of the assigned business unit. Accountable for providing Trade Finance business operational subject matter expertise (SME) and knowledge to projects. - Analyze processes and procedures and recommend system changes or process changes that enhance operational efficiency. - Complete business analysis and requirements specifications. - Create and implement User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans and recommend actions related to results. - Access data and line of business information required to fulfill accountabilities. - Collect data business performance information and results from business unit senior managers. Day to day - Projects joint efforts between product ops and the business - Expanding process to the London Office - Understand current processes and mapping out future flows - Writing requirements documents - Participation in the UAT coordinating and reporting on status - Interaction with the system vendor external - Working with LOB and operations peopleTop 3 skills 1.) LOB trade finance (letters of credit international payment operations) NOTE there is a difference between trading and trade finance this is an important distinction 2.) Experience with requirements documenting and process documenting 3.) Banking finance (Must have) Manager s wants - advanced comms need to have impeccable comms. both verbal and written - Previous use of trade finance systems Trade 360 or a similar system would be an asset - Data analysis need to be able to use excel and business objects - Someone with some project management experienceKnowledge Requirements University degree college diploma or equivalent work experience 5 years of BA related work experience - Solid knowledge of Trade Finance Operations Import and Export Letters of Credit Standby Letters of Credit Guarantees Documentary Collections - International Payments. - Knowledge and understanding of International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Project Management Methodology tools and templates Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and its relationship to business systems design and implementation Familiar with established process analysis and improvement tools - Solid knowledge of testing strategies test plans and execution - Strong knowledge of process and or project management Please note that this is the most up to date version of job description available at this time During Client Interview you will receive additional information variance may apply When you have some time please register in our database (5 minute process) to be considered for future openings the link is available on our website at www.teamrecruiter.com in the Candidate section.
