I ve been working with two buyers the last couple of days that have found themselves in bidding wars with other competing home buyers. We re back to seeing a sellers market here in the twin cities market as home owners are receiving more than one offer on their property.If you plan to buy a home this winter or early Spring the twin cities Real Estate market is already starting to heat up which is different than the last few years. As Realtors we do see a slight slow down in home sales going into the winter months and then as temperatures rise and Spring break rounds the corner home sales typically start taking a steady increase right into the Spring Parade of Homes but this year the winter home sales lull was very short and we re already seeing home sales take off. If you re thinking about purchasing a home this Fall or Winter it s never too early to get your home search underway. Thinking Fall is a bad time to list your home It s actually a great time Many home seller s remove their home from the market because they think no one will buy the reality is that relocation still happens during the Winter and buyer s are all too excited to buy their first home or a move-up home. Consider this a buyer is currently renting an apartment but their lease is up in October or November.... they re going to be out on the hunt to find a new place before their lease ends.
