Production Supervisor

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Manage and coordinate staff and operations in all areas of Paper Cup production. Supervise and train production staff in properly operating machinery and manufacturing products according to specifications and QA guidelines. In coordination with Industrial Operations Manager Procurement Shipping and Operations management plan production schedule giving consideration to customer requirements inventory stocking levels equipment capacity and raw material availability. Participate in production planning meetings. Coordinate production scheduling work flow and distribution. Follow and ensure that supervised employees follow all established policies and procedures. Establish maintain and change as necessary efficient flow of raw materials to finished goods to achieve daily production goals in a manner that minimizes costs. Bring raw materials from warehouse to production and stage for use. Ensure all finished goods are removed from the production area and are stored properly in the warehouse. Operate material moving equipment as required. Maintain orderly and clean warehouses. Inspect products to identify and report possible defects. Communicate with Quality Receiving and Shipping to facilitate the movement of raw materials from receiving finished goods to shipping as needed as well as in process quality inspections and product rework. Assist work on various production lines as needed. Work with Industrial Operations Manager and Procurement to maintain appropriate inventory levels and reorder materials as needed. Conduct routine inventory counts as necessary. Process and maintain necessary production staff payroll and inventory records for assigned departments. Perform basic maintenance and repair of production equipment as needed. Communicate staff conflicts to supervisor and conduct conflict resolution meetings as needed. Collaborate with Human Resources in employment-related matters including but not limited to hiring performance discipline conflict and company policies. Comply with the company s safety plan by proactively eliminating work hazards increasing staff awareness reporting accidents incidents near-misses and ensuring prompt emergency response for all assigned departments. Be directly involved with facility security during working and non-working hours. Notify supervisor of any issues that could negatively impact the organization. Keeps the facility looking neat and professional at all times. Conduct all business in a positive professional relationship-building manner and maintain a strong teambuilding environment among staff members at all times. Foster a productive and genial employee work environment. Follow all ISO procedures as required. Perform other duties as assigned. JOB QUALIFICATIONS Education High school diploma or GED required. Special Knowledge Skills Ability to operate and perform basic maintenance on various types of production equipment able to manage inventory and production requirements for multiple products and departments able to track payroll and other administrative functions of the manufacturing department proficient computer and data entry skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office. Experience Three or more years of production experience and two or more years of manufacturing supervisory experience required additional experience will be considered when hiring. Supervisory Responsibilities Production Supervisors and staff in assigned production departments responsible for recruiting interviewing hiring and training employees planning assigning and directing work appraising performance rewarding and disciplining employees addressing complaints and resolving problems positive communication with all company staff is mandatory. Physical Able to lift up to 60lbs or more bend stoop climb stand and walk regularly. Personality Organized detail-oriented able to multitask and meet deadlines able to effectively direct the work of others. Working Conditions Inside manufacturing facility. Work Schedule 40 hours per week. Background and Drug Test Required Employment is contingent based upon satisfactory results.
