Ciao The Sons of Italy is a social group of people of Italian decent who want to celebrate our Italian heritage. We are a small casual group of friendly people getting together to celebrate. Our monthly meeting is Thursday with a Thanksgiving potluck Meetings are at the Harman Center (off of Summitview) at 6 30pm on the Third Thursday of every month or Nov. 19th this month.We would love to see you there just respond to this ad and receive a same day response so you can get signed in at the door. OSIA maintains a National Office in Washington DC and presently there are 21 State Charters with a total of 750 filial lodges. Membership offers the opportunity to promote preserve and cherish a lasting appreciation of Italian heritage culture and customs. We need to increase our numbers so that we can effectively be represented in a positive image in our modern society. This can be accomplished through involvement in community charitable educational cultural and social activities. In most areas Italians celebrate Columbus Day which enables them to share with other ethnic groups the Italian culture. A supportive community ensures a heightened cultural awareness.
