Duties We are looking for an individual to provide support to an adult male with Autism or other developmental disability at his place of volunteer work as well as other community settings. Occasionally the individual being supported may exhibit challenging behaviors. The job description requires active involvement in utilizing community resources to set scheduled activities focus on their individual development connecting with community resources (i.e. recreation school volunteer) and working on ISP goals. You may also be required to prompt or assist with personal hygiene depending on the person being supported. Qualifications The ideal candidate must have some experience supporting individuals with Autism other developmental disabilities and be trained in supporting individuals with challenging behaviors. You will be patient respectful possess good interpersonal and have a positive can do attitude. Excellent communication skills (oral and written) at all levels and across diverse cultures are essential. The ideal candidate must be outgoing enjoy the outdoors be self-motivated and possess strong customer service qualities. You must be detailed oriented to perform a myriad of duties as a trainer. A valid Drivers License reliable auto current auto insurance & smart phone are required.
