Inspect kitchens and food service areas Always keep kitchen and food preparation area clean and sanitized Supervise kitchen helpers and other staffs Train other kitchen helpers in preparation cooking and handling food items Recruit and hire staffs Experience requirements Completion of a three-year apprenticeship program for cooks OR Completion of college or other program in cooking OR 2 3 years of commercial cooking experience are required.
