There s not another set of this quality and this size made of porcelain anywhere.These are at least 45 years old and might be older.There 23 to 25 tall and were hand painted by a real artist.Sao is really unique with a bisque face and teeth and eyebrows that are made out of white glass.The child he s holding also has a bisque face.All the children s faces are happy and have similar facial features to the wiseman that s holding them.You can see the family resemblance and unlike any other set you can find the wiseman are holding scrolls and children.All the other Feng shui wiseman are either holding one or the other but not both.These came out of the house of a wealthy Chinese business man who had these custom made and these were brought back from China in the 1970 s.I ve had these looked at by experts in Asian pottery and porcelain and nobody thinks these were actually made in China.The artwork is to well done and they have seen hundreds of Feng shui sets made from porcelain and none were close to this quality.They said these were most likely made in Singapore and sent to China.There in mint condition except for the beak on the bird that s on Sao and it s been professionally repaired were you can t even see it. 700 for the set.727-479-6513
