One of our reputed Major Banking Client is looking for Collateral Management IT Specialist (Java JMS DB2 Linux Capital Markets Exp.) Location Downtown Toronto Duration 6 Months contract with possible extension Description The business is looking for an individual who has strong engineering and analysis skills. This individual will work on the integration of the Collateral Management System with other systems. It is preferred to have someone who has some knowledge or experience with derivatives or cash trades. Successful individual who has Collateral Management Systems preferably Lombard SunGard or Sentry. This individual would need to be know how to integrate the Collateral Management System with other systems which would be supported by this resource. It is preferred to have someone who has some knowledge or experience with settlement system and centralized counter party. This new business solution is going to be housed in LINUX. MUST HAVES Collateral Management Systems Lombard or SunGard preferred Application deployment experience Monitoring and capacity experience End-to-end support and integrated testing experience Working knowledge of MQ DB2 EMS LINUX Unix Java JMS and be able to navigate and assist developers Current Capital Market experience with settlements central counterparty or trading systems Nice to have TIBCO ITIL Standards and framework Experience with enterprise monitoring system (NASTEL) XML and XPath Responsibilities The Venom Engineering Collateral Management IT Specialist will be responsible for delivering all aspects of the engineering for the Venom team. This includes product evaluation product certification development and implementation of engineering standards architecture deployment and third level of production support. The Venom Engineer will work with source systems to complete the on-boarding of all Collateral-eligible trades into Collateral Management Service clean up message flows and support the development of the adapters to the Venom Message Service. This will require understanding and capturing the requirements creation of flows assisting with functional and non-functional testing of the setup assist with seeding and verification and creation of artifacts to facilitate go-live. The Engineering resource will also assist with the RFP process and vendor product selection as well as Proof of Concept based on the selected technology. Assist with technical validation development of engineering standards policies and procedures around deployment configuration on-boarding and release of services on the technology. Work with the Infrastructure Team to procure hardware and deploy product and services as per developed standards. Another important part of this role will be ensuring that the Venom Engineering Middleware team meets all of its Regulatory Compliance and Internal Audit obligations as identified Bank s Securities Technology Risk Management and Information Security standards. Reporting to the Regional Engineering Manager the accountabilities of the role include but are not limited to the following Contributing to the future strategy and technology direction for the Venom Message Service Defining a governance model to improve the integrity and efficiency of Venom Services Building Venom system deployment plans and follow the ITIL process Perform deployment administration and management of Venom Message Service components Assistance with System Integration Testing and Performance Acceptance Testing Provide after-hours support for non-production environment as required including Level 3 support for Venom Message Service Monitoring and Measurement of Key Performance Indicators Perform capacity planning for both production and non-production environment Patch and remediate software package deployments Assist development teams to enhance capabilities of Ensuring Venom engineering project deliverables are met in timely manner with excellent quality PLEASE FILL THE BELOW SKILL-MATRIX Application Deployment Yrs.
