This position is responsible for performing cleaning and sanitation tasks in a food manufacturing facility in accordance with company quality and food safety requirements. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Perform general cleaning and sanitation tasks as assigned Learn how to disassemble and reassemble equipment parts that require cleaning Work with standard cleaning and sanitation chemicals Document task completion status in Master Sanitation log Sweep mop and sanitize warehouse and production floors Wash and sanitize equipment parts carts bins barrels utensils etc. Empty production trash bins and vacuums Learn how to operate floor scrubbing equipment Participate in weekly and monthly deep cleaning activities Keep Sanitation Lead informed of any issues that arise Follow established company safe practices and procedures Perform other duties as assigned SKILLS ATTRIBUTESAbility to understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures Ability to work independently and manage work hours efficiently Positive outlook and a team player PREFERRED EXPERIENCE Preferred knowledge of chemical handling and sanitation best practices. Preferred experience in food manufacturing sanitation.
