COOk(NOC 6242) Nikko Sushi located in Delta B.C is now looking for our cook. Our cook should be highly organized and be to work well under pressure. Our cook must have minimum 3years of experience in cooking environment and be able to stand and work on your feet for long hours. Our cook also must have knowledge on food safety and handling procedures and proper food storage methods. You must have Basic English skill and complete high school. Wage & Working hours 22 per hour & 40 hours per week Full time Location 1270 56st Delta BC V4L 2A4 Duties You must manage our kitchen operations Prepare Japanese menu including sushi rolls tempura soups and salads nigiri sashimi etc and cook complete meals and or individual dishes. Schedule and supervise kitchen staff and phone off duty employees or ask on duty staff to fill a shift when a worker calls in sick and deal with employee conflict if and when necessary and participate in schedule staff meetings. Check and Keep track of all food inventory and place orders with suppliers arrive early to ensure supplies and stock is available prepare and determine size of food portions. Help plan menus and prepare daily specials. Handle all customer complaints and suggest alternatives or refunds when necessary. Check and maintain all kitchen equipment and contact the appropriate service technician when necessary.
