Transportation Travel Information Own vehicle and valid driver s license required. Education Completion of high school including being First Aid Certified. Experience Minimum of six months of supervisory experience plus at least one year of experience as a cleaner with an upper tier cleaning company. Languages Speak Read and Write English fluently. Knowledge experience and skills required Supervisory experience having monitored and checked the work of other staff and provided training and guidance to other more junior staff Effective communication skills able to interact in a pleasant manner with staff and franchisees at all levels and to encourage and motivate a diverse cleaning team Strong basic knowledge ideally supported by training in Health and Safety such as WHMIS and manual handling rules Experience and strong knowledge relating to use of cleaning equipment and cleaning chemicals and substances (WHMIS). Job Duties Responsible for all day to day aspects relating to the supervision and co-ordination of cleaning staff organization and maintenance of the cleaning service within the contract specification (must be able and willing to assist with cleaning of some key customer homes when need be) Responsible for work allocation to the cleaning team keeping within the specified detail of the contract the financial budget and working principles Responsible for coaching the cleaning staff and the ability to provide the cleaning staff with detailed training on home cleaning best practices requirements for maintaining quality standards and customer service and relationship management To hold company phone and respond to all requests over any 24 hour period s required Ensure a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance and general cleanliness to comply with statutory and Company regulations wearing company uniform as specified Must be a non-smoker Control and issue cleaning material ensuring stock rotation and safety in storage Responsible for conducting quality control of cleaning staff work and performing quality assurance inspection including providing guidance on improvement opportunities for cleaning staff Be aware of the condition of the equipment to ensure that all equipment is in safe working order checked regularly cleaned and serviced. Report any faults to the Cleaning manager Comply with all Company & Client policies and statutory regulations relating to Health & Safety safe working practices hygiene cleanliness fire and WHMIS. This will include your awareness of any specific hazards in your work place. Follow client company guidelines with regards to the identification and reporting of health and safety hazards e.g. blocked locked fire doors.
