If you have been living with HIV for at least 3 years and EXERCISE REGULARLY we need research participants like you for a paid study. Study Title Heart Rate Recovery (HRR) and post exercise Heart Rate Variability (HRV) in Active and Inactive HIV Individuals Study Description The purpose of the study is to investigate the cardio-autonomic changes that happen after an exercise test in people living with HIV taking anti-retroviral medications that are physically active compared to those that are sedentary. The study will only require one visit to the Applied Physiology lab at Teacher College Columbia University that will last approximately 1.5-2 hours. Tests will include a resting electrocardiogram and a blood pressure measurement a body composition analysis and a maximal exercise test. Inclusion Criteria Diagnosed with the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) for at least 3 years Currently taking anti-retroviral medications Absence of health problems that would limit exercise Participant Requirements Availability to attend a lab session lasting approximately 1.5-2 hours Willing to perform a maximal exercise test in a stationary bicycle Please reply to this message Norberto Quiles
