Cast Iron Artie Cigar Cutter. A classic figural cast iron cigar store cutter this one depicting a gentleman sitting atop a chimney and when cigar is clipped he lowers his right arm pulling the cigar from his mouth and sticking his tongue out. A patent date of 1889 and was produced by Erie Specialty Co. of Erie PA. There are only 15-20 various cast iron figural cigar cutters produce. The finish is a black oxide and highlighted with red lettering on the word Artie. Extremely fancy iron casting to the base as well as front plate advertising Artie as the best cigar of the year.
