This will be a lusty night of New England string tunes old and new when fiddler and singer Lissa Schneckenburger (Solas Phantom Power Halali) joins double bassist and tenor guitar wizard Corey DiMario (Crooked Still) in a rare duo performance. The project ranges from delicate ballads and original fiddle tunes to re-imagined pop classics. Schneckenburger who grew up in Maine and learned to play at the feet of iconic New England fiddlers has released numerous solo albums including the recent Covers (June 2013). She and DiMario met in the klezmer ensemble at The New England Conservatory of Music a decade ago. DiMario adds rock solid low-end accompaniment and driving rhythm to any musical situation.
