We are seeking a passionate and creative professional to develop and lead our strategic sourcing and procurement plans in our Iron Mountain Michigan office. As a Systems Control Director of Supply Chain Management you work cross functionally with all departments to ensure that best cost manufacturing goals are being achieved. You ensure supplier compliance in all respects of corporate specifications and best in class supplier performance. You lead the strategic and tactical negotiations within the supply chain and leverage continuous improvement activities to drive improved performance and profitability. RESPONSIBILITIES. Develop and lead strategic sourcing procurement strategies in accord with company objectives. Develop maintain world class supply chain practices. Provide leadership vision and direction in sourcing and procurement. Formulate and deploy procedures governing all aspects of materials procurement materials planning inventory management and supplier development. Lead the strategic and tactical negotiations within the supply chain. Leverage continuous improvement activities to drive improved performance and profitability. Work cross functionally with Sales Estimating Quality Manufacturing Engineering and Design to ensure best cost manufacturing strategy is being achieved. Ensure supplier compliance in all respects of corporate specifications and requirements ensuring best in class supplier performance. Establish and maintain performance metrics. SALARY BENEFITS. MINIMUM & PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS. Bachelor s Degree in Business with emphasis in Supply Chain and or Operations Management required Master s Degree preferred. CPIM or CPM certification is desired. 10 years experience in a Senior Supply Chain role with equivalent experience operating in a manufacturing environment essential. Proficiency in ERP MRP systems. Experience with Lean manufacturing. A proven track record of developing win win relationships with suppliers to reduce cost and improve delivery and quality. Outstanding communication skills as well as solid analytical and financial skills. Unrestricted right to work in the United States required.
