Central Vancouver Island Kids Learning Code Train the Trainer Se

What is Ladies Learning Code Founded in 2011 we are a Canadian not-for-profit organization with the mission to become the leading resource for women and youth to become passionate builders - not just consumers - of technology by learning technical skills in a hands-on social and collaborative way. Our goal is to teach 200 000 Canadian women and youth to code by 2020. We run one-day workshops for adults in 22 cities (and counting) across Canada plus Girls Learning Code and Kids Learning Code which are thriving youth programs (think camps and afterschool programs) for youth ages 6-17. To date we ve taught over 24 000 women and youth in 1 of our programs across the country. It is exciting and heartening to know that Canadians of all backgrounds are getting a 1st taste of coding at our workshops and leaving the event with a greater sense of self-confidence.
