Job Vacancy for Church Secretary Announcement of a new job opening for the position of Church Secretary (part-time). The candidate will be responsible for Manage workflow by ensuring that deadlines are met and work is completed correctly. Train and coordinate workflow of volunteer church staff members. Prepare Weekly Church Bulletins and any Special Service Bulletins as needed. Implement and monitor programs as directed by Pastor and Governing members of the church management. Ensure that programs and activities are meeting sensitive time deadlines through completion. Records financial information from weekly Tithes Offerings and Special Collections. Incumbent will work closely with the Treasurer in the correct implementation of this task to ensure 100% accuracy. Generate memos emails and reports when appropriate and keeping the Pastor and those involved abreast of any changes in schedules or delays. Assume responsibility for maintenance of office equipment including computers copy machines and fax machines. Maintain office supplies by checking inventory and the ordering of supplies needed. Responds to questions and requests for information as it relates to the African Methodist Episcopal Church. Schedules and maintains an accurate calendar of the Pastor s speaking engagements. Works closely with the Pastor on all requests as it relates to his availability for outside church engagements to avoid any conflicts in scheduling. Answers all incoming calls and assumes other receptionist duties as needed. This position reports directly to the Church Pastor.
