My name is Doug Blankenship and I have been in Remodeling and Painting business for over 25 years and for the last 3 years I have had my Home Inspection License. I actually went to school and got certified through AHIT to become an Inspector and did not assume that I knew all about it because I was a contractor. I know that a few years ago you used to be able to just study a practice test and then go and take the state license test and you were a Home Inspector. After major problems they changed all that and now you have to go through what I did to become one. I am also a member of AAREI who sets the standards in Arkansas. License number is HI-1763 I also know how to do all types of Home repairs and am certified in plumbing and electrical as well. I certainly know what it takes to pass an inspection and will do any repairs with that in mind. As an added bonus I will come back and Inspect any work done to a home I inspect for free to verify it was done properly. My wording in person and on the reports will be simple to understand and not make a big deal over everything and can even give prices for some repairs right there on the spot.
